𝐀𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐢 – 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢, is the General Manager of MUSE. She is a Ph.D. Candidate in Ethnomusicology and Cultural Anthropology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, focusing on UNESCO’s policies for safeguarding traditional music. Since 2023 she has been a research associate of the UNESCO Chair “Anthropology of Traditional Music”. She holds a MA in Ethnomusicology from the same university, partially completed at City University of London (Erasmus), and a BA in Piano Performance and Music Harmony from the Conservatory of Ars Nova. Recipient of the Hedley Music Scholarship and the State Scholarship Foundation. Her experience extends to cultural institutions such as the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, the Greek Music Center and Tropos Research Centre. She has also worked in primary education in Germany and Greece, holding Certificates “Special Education in Education” from the University of the Aegean, and IB’s “Training of Trainers”. She speaks Greek, English and German. As a performer she specializes in urban Greek folk music (accordion, voice).
